I’m Amar, one of the clinicians at EvoDental. I graduated from King’s College London in 2020. After graduating, I relocated back home to the Midlands and spent a year in general practice. During this year, I had regular placements with a local oral surgery service which helped me to develop an interest and skillset in the surgical aspects of dentistry. Following this, I took a hospital position at a busy maxillo-facial surgery unit in Manchester, working across both adults and children’s hospitals, gaining exposure to the full scope of facial surgery and was fortunate enough to present some research I conducted during this period at the International Cleft Lip & Palate Conference.
After gaining experience in the placement and management of dental implants in general practice, I joined EvoDental as I wanted to be part of a team that delivers truly life-changing treatment on a daily basis. The culture at Evo of surgical excellence and leveraging the latest technology to provide transformative outcomes are the cornerstones of this and it is great to learn so much every day.
As part of my development, I have passed the membership of the faculty of dentistry exams at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In addition, I am undertaking a post-graduate diploma in dental implantology and further training in the use of sedation to help manage anxious patients.
Outside of work, I unwind by (trying to) go to the gym, hanging out with family & friends, and watching Netflix.
